It’s only a couple of weeks until Halloween. No matter whether you’ll be buying candy to share with the neighborhood kids, taking to a Halloween event such as a trunk or treat, or buying candy simply because it’s on sale, you might want to consider shedding a couple pounds beforehand.
I have never (knock on wood) ever had a Halloween trick or treater. That doesn’t mean that I don’t at least buy ‘something’ for the holiday, after all, the neighbor might have a grandkid visiting. I’m always prepared…. even if it’s for Halloween!
Don’t get me wrong. I don’t doll up the house, or wear a costume in anticipation but I do like to drop a couple pounds before the holiday(s) as there will be goodies to snack on, here and there…. and everywhere. (Last year I stopped in Dollar General for some milk… and they were passing out snack size candy bars at the counter. Who could resist?)
So what can you do?
Why not go low carb? There are different variations of low carb, including Ketogenic and Paleo. Why not start the day with some low carb breakfast such as this easy to make breakfast casserole?
and for lunch how about this Paleo friendly tomato soup? (You can use the last of the fresh tomatoes!)
And for dinner (aka supper)?
