Instructions
  1. Heat a skillet and brown your chicken. Cut into cubes while it's cooking.
  2. Once chicken has browned, add in the celery, carrots, garlic and onion and cook until the onion is translucent. Add in the thyme and the chicken broth and set to simmer.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the flour, leavening, oil and milk until you get a nice thick batter. You may add parsley if you like for a bit of color.
  4. You may either drop by spoonfuls into the simmering broth OR roll out and cut into squares (before adding to the broth.)
  5. Cook ten minutes uncovered and ten covered and it's ready to serve. (Remove bay leaves before serving.)
